Bruno Monguzzi: A Designer’s Perspective October 22, 1998–January 16, 1999 Curator: Franc Nunoo-Quarcoo, Associate Professor, Visual Arts Department, UMBC Organized by the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture Bruno Monguzzi: A Designer’s Perspective is the first major retrospective in the United States of the internationally recognized Swiss graphic designer. The exhibition explores the graphic work of this innovative designer and closely examines Monguzzi’s typographical inventions, as well as his theoretical tracts and designs for household objects, pavilions, books, and even Swiss currency.
