This panel discussion is convened by IMDA MFA artist Nia Hampton, in support of her experimental film “The Labor/The Luxury” (2026), a documentary about the systemic impact of Black women’s labor on the crabbing industry, focusing on the Crisfield Crab Pickers’ Strike of 1938.
