Students during 2024 Welcome Week Open House Welcome Week Open House August 25, 2025 3PM–4PM CADVC Fine Arts Building Amphitheater Welcome Retrievers! Whether you are new to UMBC or returning, the Center for Art, Design, and Visual Culture (CADVC) is thrilled to welcome you to one of our favorite traditions, the annual CADVC Open House! Help us kick off the academic new year as we gather informally outdoors in the Fine Arts Amphitheater. Enjoy music, light refreshments, games, a free giveaway of some of our award-winning art books. Be sure to grab your seat and snack by 3 pm on Monday, August 25 to learn about CADVC and the arts at UMBC. Getting there: Access the event through the lobby of the CADVC gallery on the 1st floor of the Fine Arts Building or directly from outdoors, directly across the lawn from the Performing Arts and Humanities Bldg.
